Your searched for 3 amigos and you didn't come up with the brake light switch? How . There's a sticky thread at the top of the section about this.

forgot to mention that the brake light switch has been done !! oops !! it is the old two wire one so dosnt have the same probs as the later ones !!

ok so what about the gravity switch that is next to the hand brake these sometimes fail or as in my case I had accidently pulled the wires of when doing a handbreak change under the center consol hope this helps

this has been mentioned in another thread and i believe that the 2000 on models only have this !!

Get it down you local specialists and get the abs ecu read?? surely thats got to be cheaper than throwing parts on that aren't curing the problem??

I sympathise with you as I have also suffered this pesky problem for some time too.
Firstly have you had a code reader interogate the car or are you just going through the system blind ?
I also changed out the Wabco abs modulator and the problem persisted . I was using a friends universal code reader to check the system but I only discovered last week that it was giving completely spurious codes.I had it read using a genuine LR only code reader and it showed that a rear sensor was US.The universal reader listed ABS pump failure ,shuttle valve failure and much more too which was exactly the same codes as was stored and shown prior to me changing out the ABS pump first time round .
Like yours mine is an early car minus decelerometer and three wire brake switch. I have ordered a new rear sensor and hope that that is the culprit and we'll see but if it is it has shown me that code readers are not infallable and it pays to get the right one .
One interesting fault that caught my eye is this one ,
ABS Mod - LAND ROVER CLUB V.I.
and that is where I was going to look next( option B ) , it may be of interest to you.
Good luck and let us all know how you get on because it WILL happen to all FL owners in good time .

Agreed. This sort of fault needs a code read out of the abs computer if the cheap items like the brake switch don't fix the problem.

i would love to get it to the local specialist and get it read , but , theres no t&t on it at the moment so driving it on the road is a no no !!

I do some mobile work and have plenty of diag kit I usually charge £20 for a code read..... surely there must be someone up your way who can do this??? ;)
