Reversed into my parking space, boing boing boing ABS light came on

Checked codes - no codes found, reset codes light went out.

Very weird, any ideas please?

did you instantly plug inthe tester and reset it?... if yes next time leave it so and see if it goes out after ignition or when you exceed 10mph or it brings up the other two.... give the ECU swome time to "figure" out things... there's a certain delay between the moment when the warning light comes on and a fault is stored in the memory

I reset it when the light was still on, I'll try what you suggest next time it happens.

Does it come on all the time or whilst reversing and braking - LR funny if the Stop lamp / reverse lamp fuse blows then when you brake whilst reversing the ABS light comes on - don't ask why it just does.

Weird - will check later

Only when reversing

Well it went wrong tonight so drove around

ABS light on and no faults found after 5 minutes

Tried neutral reversing (downslope), came on again!!!!

aghhhhhhhhhhhhh

you need to be more patient...when the light is on and you turn off/on the ignition what happens, the light goes out from the beginning or it stays on untill you exceed 10mph or how?
... also does it come with bongs too or it's silent?
when it happens again leave it so and find a slope then try the HDC to see if it works or not

it's to investigate a bit .... unless you have a spare ECU to swap cos it seems very like ECU missbehaviour

Drove about for 5 minutes with no ABS, no errors came up but ABS and TC lights were on.

I think I will have to find an ECU

that TC thing is new?, cos ABS+TC is possible without fault codes if the ECU gets an earth input from the diff-lock switch circuit(provided it's not facelift)..the only strange thing is the ABS warning alone

I have had the car about 9 months so do not know its long term history.

Mine is facelift, I have facelift lights and a difflock.

then unfortunately as the ECU is very suspect it's hard to go further untill it's not ruled out even if the fault is from somewhere else the thing that you get an "unprogrammed" warning like the ABS alone or the ABS + TC which is a pre-facelift thing but no fault codes logged makes the ECU look bad

it's the SLABS ECU(=self levelling and ABS ECU, behind the glovebox) and it's not plug and play especially if your D2 is with air suspension...if it's on coils it might work without programming if the replacement was removed from one with coils, you need a SRD500070 ECU

Some on Ebay quite cheap, I may try a swap out, as to programming, any ideas please?

I have SLS
