Head's a shed
Looking really good, great work you've done there !
Cheers
Feels like a big job out of the way with the gearbox in.

Only had an hour today.
No gas or wire for the welder so doing the other mount is out of the window.
So I just cut and fitted the intercooler pipes.
Other than that, I'm a bit stuck.
Bit strapped for cash at the mo, So will have to buy bits as and when I can afford them.
Rear prop was measured up and is aprox 590mm so not too back and thinking a series prop will do.
Just need to double check measurements.
Anyway, Intercooler pipes fitted on the n/s.
May cut the 90* elbow down slightly yet.

And the other side.
Not as neat of a solution but not too bad.
Just need some more jubbilee clips. Sick of bloody ordering stuff now

Great pictures and really good progress being made!
What are your thoughts as to fabricating a transmission tunnel?
Looks good lad! fair play
Ok yeah this is happening
Cheers Extra holes drilled in chassis, Although I did think about opening all the holes up to accept m10's
Good decision
I think I'm doing another when I source some bits. (engine/gearbox disc back axle and a galv chassis)
Quite looking forwards to it in some respects as it'll be a full ground up rebuild.
Which should make it easier and a neater install.
Plus I've learnt a hell of a lot doing this and I'm sure some stuff will change for the better.
I just need the cash to finish mine.
Let us know how it goes and don't forget the pics

Haha don't worry there'll be a conplete build thread
Im going to have a go making all the adapter parts myself just gotta look into the gearbox- transfer box bit ... ive got 100" so more room to play with for props etc
I only know of 1 other RRC cummins so it should he quite special
Going to add aircon if possible too so the comfiest cummins conversion there is
He welds aswell....raise:
Dont he make you sick
Looks good enough to me.I try
But if you don't try you never no. Same goes for most other things I've done. (i.e paint)
Obviously not up to professional standards, But it's solid which is the main thing
Looks good enough to me.
Looking at your earth clamp im guessing you have a Clark style mig. What one you got?
Good stuff, I'll look forwards to the thread
Yep, I only know of one other too, Plus aircon would be nice
Adapter shouldn't be too bad, You've got more tools at your disposal than me.
But in all honesty, I think mine was reasonably priced and was more than happy paying what I did for mine
The adapter plate between the tearbox and transfer should be fine, I xan cut that easily enough abd I know people with laser cutters if I want a really neat job its just the shaft has to be an exact length correct ? Which makes it abit more difficult but we have a lathe so just needs some carefull work, but yeah ive heard the conversiom kit isnt that expencive
Hopefully I dont have yo chop too much out of the body to get it to fit
Ah, Fair enough, Should have more sense of achievement doing everything yourself
Something I'd like to have a go at my self, But I don't have the skill, Knowledge or the tools.
Yep, Shaft has to be an exact length so you preload the gearbox.
Will just take a bit of f*cking about to get it right. But with what you've got available you will sort it I'm sure
Conversion is reasonable, But if you can do it cheaper then why not
Body, Hmm, God knows how much will need cutting away But hopefully not too bad.
