Standard bumper for me :D

Awesome job!!!!
Get it sold and buy another two.....;)

TWO  Bloody hell I aint got any money as it is

Yeah got to say it looks a bit gash with that bumper.

Yeah for me it just doesn't suit it at all. I quite liked it before the rebuild. But then again a lots changed since then
Best start looking for a standard bumper.

I think a standard styled winch bumper if that makes sense....

Yep, Know what you mean :) Will see what I can find.

I have to say Aaron, that looks fookin awesome ! I love reading this thread daily (sad I know) but it has just clicked over the last few days. Despite it being Everton Blue it looks superb.

Hi Aaron,

Bumper would look best standard I think mate. Looking forward to seeing the rocker cover on the engine, I'm a huge fan of engine porn haha

Although many landy lovers will say it looks better in mud!

Yeah I've gone from hating the blue to really liking it now.
Not sad at all mate. If anything its me that's sad taking the time to write it all up. But I don't see It like that. Infact I enjoy writing this thread just as much as people like reading it :)

Hello Alex,
Yep on the look out for a standard bumper now mate, Be more in keeping with what I've build to be honest.
Yeah most would say it looks better in mud. But I'd rather it look clean for little while at least.
Rocker cover probably looks a bit daft, Could do with some other engine bling to go with it

Now you'll have to put a price on it:rolleyes:

Easier said than done
For a start I don't know what it's cost me to build yet . Infact dare I add it up
I could say it's cost £6k to build but it doesn't mean I'd get that.
The market is so varied that it's hard to guestimate.

prices are all over the place! my 1998 90 300tdi cws cost £3600 but another one just came up on the island 1996 90 looks rough and its £5800 so you just cant tell! but you have a great photo record so should get top money if you were to sell! i dont think i could do it, all that effort! looks great! oh what bonnet is that?

£3600 is reasonable money for a what you have got :) you did well.
Yeah I have put far to much time, money, blood, sweat and tears into this to just let it go.
As I said it's built to keep and I wouldn't go out of my way to sell it, But I don't mind change so if someone was to offer good money I probably wouldn't be able to say no.

Oh and cheers :) bonnet is a tdci/puma one. Fitted to all defenders 07 onwards.

Well not a bad day today :)
Been doing loads of the little jobs today and the list is considerably shorter than when I started. Well I say list there isn't actually a list. It's all in me bonce :D

Oooh shiny, Metal flake anorl :D Being a proper ponce now  Glistens lovely in the sun. Not that yer going to see it very often.
In fact scrap that idea, It's a Landrover

You're nearly finished! Mines still a way to go. I was putting my brakes on today and noticed your connection to the vacuum hose is in a different orientation to the way I put mine and mines different to others I've seen. Do you know if it makes any difference which way up the servo is?

It's worth 6k all day I think, it's a low maintenance landy for years to come especially on that chassis.

Yeah I'd think it is. But prices vary wildly. Seen some stupid priced ones on ebay 8-9k But that doesn't mean they sell.

Yep not far off :)
But as I say just going to put it in the garage and leave it for a while and finish when I've got a bit of brass.

Just looked at your thread and cant say I've seen one that way up before and I'm not sure if it makes a difference.
Yours is still coming on well, You'll soon finish it when you get more time mate :)

Well today is a sad day. Back in the garage for the foreseeable future :(
Well also given my orders today to clean the patio/garden up as we're getting some valuations, Oh ffs :(
Not my house at the end of the day though. Best get sorting some stuff out, Should keep me busy for a while

So pulled it down the drive, Turned it around.
