look how the print for the T, the 6 and the M are all printed like it was a dodgy print head. Then look at the shape of the C in the CA195A bit, then look at the O in thetford, the shape of the OSU/CSU matches the O better. CSU isnt anything which is why your google-fu has failed. OSU is operational support unit.

still anyway, its irrelevant, are you going doen the ex-military insurance route? it was way cheaper for me.

Transfered the insurance from my 2a as she's now my daily I need commercial use
 
Did nothing to it today cept drive it....which is a bit gutting seeing as it's been perfect painting weather :Cry:

Nice and toasty in the cab this morning though :) Slightly let down by the fact the drivers side bulkhead vent has half a seal.........and could've done with a sun visor on the way home :cool:

Girlfriend whats to know if I can sort out a bed in the back before Friday night and can we fill it with rocks on Saturday :confused:

Was rained off at work today so headed to the workshop for the afternoon. Fitted the newly arrived headlight trims..



And made up a platform for the bed/sofa that will be hinged to swing up against the bulkhead and worked out how to make up a piece to extend it for when I have company :)



Gave her a good clean out and played around with some cushions to try and get a feel for seating and storage options....also freed up the windows and blackout blinds.



Found another leak in one of the vents and sealed it temporarily until I get round to fitting the new vent covers.

Quite pleased with todays progress :)
 
Got a little more painting done but it's a little frustrating doing it in bits. Hopefully get a good day in over the weekend.

Insurance docs arrived this morning so went to the post office to get her tax disc. Turned into a bit of a story because the PO still had her classed as an ambulance and not yet having had the full V5 back the cashier didn't think she could change the class.

Took 3 of them and about 20mins but got there in the end so she's now all above board and legit :)

Apparently I'll probably get an ammended V5 some time after the one that should be appearing on my doorstep soon and I should wait to get the second one before sending one back with a colour change ammendment :confused:

I always worry when DVLA has to do more than one thing....it tends to go pear-shaped :rolleyes:
 
hell there is room for a washer and dryer in there

And the kitchen sink by the looks of it !

There's not as much space as it looks in the pics but enough to be cosy and comfortable and keep a good load space if I'm a little canny. Not decided yet whether to have a perminant hob and cupboads along one wheel arch or have a more temporary removeable camping set-up. The Wales laning trip should help decide.

Got the bed extension made up today which will hopefully turn it into a useable double and managed to get the fan for the rear heater to work....and work it certainly does :D Land Rover should definately have consulted Marshalls when designing heating.

Rear interior lights are working as well though I can't claim the credit for that.......it's just taken me this long to find the switch :eek: though they're way too bright so I'll probably remove half the bulbs and see if I can get to the wiring to fit a switch to give a choice of one light or two.

Getting excited about her first laning trip but got a few things to sort first...

Fit cb and sound system

Decide where to stow the aux battery and wire it up and aux fuse box....so far as I can figure everything runs through the standard Series fuse box so I certainly don't want to add anything else in, maybe remove a few things like interior lights and wiring for the sound system

She's fitted with extended axle breathers but not checked them over yet and should really drill and tap gearbox/transfer box cover plates and fit breathers.

Finish painting, at least one coat all over but the prep is a bit daunting. She's doing a good impression of being watertight now though :cool: from above anyway.

Sort out door locks.......passenger side door lock works but only if the door is open which is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike :rolleyes: Did fit a bolt inside the back doors today so I can lock myself in when settling down for the night.

Better stop there I think before I start to panic! :5bwilly_nilly:
 
Filled her up with wet, muddy rocks in the rain this morning, it's fair to say the load space still works :)



Made a bit more sense of the dash wiring and fitted a charger socket and invertor. I'll swap the invertor connections over to the aux battery when I fit it....possibly tomorrow if I can avoid getting caught up in anyone else's plans :rolleyes:
