@Gottschalk I know you are going to be undertaking a RRC in time and thought of you when I happened upon this gem a few days ago, I have finally watched to the conclusion and although I would have done a few things differently it is certainly an inspiration.

Grab a brew and enjoy on the big telly if you have a smart TV.

Thanks dude, will do!! :)

Thanks needed something to watch whilst wife undergoes knife to remove gallbladder, neat editing and you see his welding improving as the reno continues, practise make perfect. Gives me inspiration to tackle my disco, some time, maybe, when I get my workshop sorted.............

That is a great watch:)

Certainly an inspiration for anybody attempting something like that regardless of car.

He’s good with the CAD too:)

Reckon the editing was as much a headache as the resto.

Wish I could get my hands on some of those magic nuts/bolts that undo themselves:eek::D.

Thanks for finding and sharing :)

A master craftsmen
And really good film editor....!!!....

A good while back there was a restore video
Out there
It was a Great Britain farmer had an old classic
In very bad shape
He took it apart and redid the whole thing
Frame... body....motor...
It was awsome after it was finished...,
And at the end of the video
It was returned to the weeds and used for storage
I’m sure it was used for awhile ...
It ...to me.... showed what happens on the life of some rovers
....wish I would have saved it
The video that is...,

Yes been following this guys youtube channel for a while, discovered it when I was looking for Lotus Esprit resto stuff
He's a perfectionist, with spanners as well as keyboards

@resto_d1 as you are slumming it in hotels in Brummyland, rather than risk getting bashed up by some rough brumburd outta a bar, sit back on the laptop and waste an evening watching this guy for some inspiration on your Discovery.

J’adore! I’ve had friends, family and you lot all telling me to keep at it. Vids like this make you realize how worth it it is and how it really is your own one off build, saving the vehicles identity. Thanks - I’ll keep this on my tv bookmarked then watch when I’m running out of puff :)

You're very welcome, I put it on the big TV again last night, it's a great watch from start to finish, if only it happened that fast lol

We are weirdos aren’t we lol. You ever seen a 240z build? We might as well have done one of those with the amount of floor pan etc. I acquired another steel 6 foot fence post that’s 4 or 5mm angle. I might make a little sheet bender to do the wings etc. I am very tempted to buy the froggats wings though. The metals more robust and far less messing about. As always comes down to budget

The ready made wings go on really fast but they cost £££

Yeah they’re 130 odd each I think. Have you noticed he’s got one of those black n decker electric files in vid? Always wondered if they were a gimmick or worth while

You need light boxes too? £75+VAT+del each on YRM

Yeah he has a super little power file, I will get one but hard to justify cost of a good one right now :(
