Hi guys, I'm touching up some of the scratches on my two Disco's this weekend...well it is nice weather after all. I've got me G3 compound, me touch up pens (from Land Rover), and a brand spanking new electric buffer. All set me thinks, apart from one last question...do Land Rover use lacquer over their paintwork? The two Disco's I have are (1) an 02 reg ES Disco which is shiny black and the second is a 98 reg, 50th anniversary Disco which is a sort of bluey green colour. Any one know how I might find out.

Cheers
Al

Chances are with the models you have that they will be base coat and clear colours (ie with laquer) if you got G3 compound then get yourself some 3m hand glaze to use afterwards to remove swirls marks especially on the black one! Even if they aint laquered then you can still use the G3 but be VERY carefull around the edges of the panels

For got to add that if you got the touch up pens then they will be two part pens one of colour and one of laquer if the landy's are painted wi base coat and clear
