I assume all P38's have air suspension? with the 4 height settings?
If you was wanting to run a Range Rover at a lowered ride height permanently is this easily done? Was thinking either changing to shock/spring set up or possibly modifiying existing set-up?
It might not even be possible but if i dont ask i wont get

Hi you can get shock and spring kits for the rr,and you could lower the height by do a suspension calibration and putting in smaller than standard blocks so fibbing to the ecu then it would ride lower then lower again,you would have course try this method out and can only be done with correct computor gadgets hope this helps tiga

u can use the air ride already there by pulling the hoses from the compressor and fitting them with vales but when the air gets 2 low ride gets rough if u need details text

Lower the suspension to the "motorway setting" by pressing the button next to the ride height (4 position control) then select the motorway ride height setting with the 4 position control & it will stay at that height ( with the engine running)

Trevor2 - No it won't. The only position on the suspension that isn't selectable is the motorway one. It only comes from the speed and timing sensors. I am not even sure that when it is in that position it can be locked using the switch next to the selector. May be worth a try but remember to re-lock on next start as I am sure it will reset itself like the fog lights and cruise do.

I can select the motorway setting myself! The only time is isn't selectable is when you are stationary, and then it assumes you want access mode. Once moving, select motorway and then just press the inhibit button and it keeps it in motorway - I do this all the time (when my suspension is working!!!) to help on the twisty roads around here.

Please try again, it does, with the handbrake off, the suspension won't go down to access level, however select the button to the right of the hieght control & it will light up, then with the engine running select the motorway hieght & it will stay there, if it won't the BCEM wants defragging to remind who's boss.

Another dodge has just come to mind, when the vehicle is delivered from the factory, the vehicle's suspension is 'locked' at its lowest setting for transporter delivery, when some unfortunate parts with loads of money to buy one 'new' during P.D.I. the suspension is unlocked via. R/R laptop. There are some independants out there who can reset it back to this low ride hieght.
