Drove to friends in the country for dinner : a beautiful warm evening.
Arrived just in time : all rush out for dinner in their car : return late : a few drams : stay overnight. Thunder storms overnight : torrential rain.
Out to car to get a waterproof jacket..............................had left sunroof open all night.
Not clever : greenhouse heater on in car for 24 hours..........fingers crossed.

Did it not beep a warning at you when you turned it off

Almost certainly but all lost in the arrival in warm sunshine, with dogs barking, running to meet car, hosts standing with drinks etc etc....
Car is usually garaged.....occasional beep for sunroofs, keys etc not viewed with alarm.......never again !!!

Yeah, the heater is going to cause a lot of condensation. Dehumidifier would get rid of that!

All windows and sunroof has ceased to function ! After dry out all in working order > I have been a lucky and stupid boy.

Sad Update on above. All was well and I went on 2 week hols. Returned to find windows/sunroof/mirrors : centre console is dead !
I have opened up but not removed : sprayed WD40 inside and ran a dehumidifier overnight which removed about 1/4 pint of water.
Before I look for a new unit does anybody know if it's solid state in there ? Fuses are fine. Is this saveable or is it likely to be deceased ?
Thanks for help as always assuming I can find it in the new setup.

Someone had success with contact cleaner on the switch pack but they had not drowned it. may need a complete panel. Run with A/C all the time.

You can take it apart but everything is soldered on to the board. No easy fixes on that one unfortunately.

Oh, and if you do take it apart, watch for the lugs as they snap easily.

I would put panel in bowl of dry raw rice or silica gel if you can get it. Rice is a slow but good dessicant.

You shouldn't use wd40 on the switches it will gum then up, use a electrical contact cleaner, the switch pack is nonserviceable iirc.
Thanks for the responses to you all : Looks like a new panel. being Sunday night I have emailed Emmots and Island 4 x 4 neither of whom have the console on their websites. Any suggestions for sourcing one ?

EBay would be your best bet.

I've never yet had any luck with Emmots via email or the phone but have managed to buy off them via eBay.

I've just done what I should have done before posting : a search shows that contact cleaner (aero clean 50 in particular) might do the trick for a complete clean of the board. haven't had it completely out yet : do the wires going into the centre of the board ( as opposed to the multiplug) just pull out or are they soldered to the board ?
