The clue is in the title - Just registered, and I have found your forum chat very helpful and informative, so a big thankyou to all the experts and experience out there that (unknowingly) helped guide me in the purchase of my P38
Doubtless there will be (hopefully not too many) issues to deal with using my trusty socket set, so roll on the fun!

After Months of viewing i only joined last week after having a niggley problem.. Very helpful and learnt loads from just reading.
To be fair if i spent as much time reading on here before i bought mine it would have most likely put me off for good with all the problems some people have and money spent.. :lol Touch wood only a driveshaft seal in six months so far)
I've had the ATF/Oil, Crank case filter and oil change done to be sure but that doesnt count..
Apart from that , its happy thirsty motoring..

There a good bunch of peeps on here so if no scratch that WHEN you have a problem there will be plenty to larf at ya, then help ya fix it, some one on here is bound to have had the same problem

Cheers that was on the A12 near Colchester, went back down the hill to rescue damsel in an audi anorl she was very gratefull

Was true once but all Alfas have been (nearly) fully gavanised for many years (mines ten years old and they were doing it before then) so no rust!
Well done them it took them long enough to get the message though. Years ago they were class mechancally but the painted bit everything was bolted to just disintigrated.

Some 70's/80's alfas were made with metal that was actually rusting (at a microscopic level) before the sheet metal had been turned into cars so the the completed car had no hope!!!
