The clue is in the title - Just registered, and I have found your forum chat very helpful and informative, so a big thankyou to all the experts and experience out there that (unknowingly) helped guide me in the purchase of my P38
Doubtless there will be (hopefully not too many) issues to deal with using my trusty socket set, so roll on the fun!
I anit got mine back from J yet Sandy ......(last time I saw it it looked like a Knackered Black rubber dingy) ..Over inflated!!!!!
As Mike just said GREAT first post & welcome to our humble home in Cyber-Space....

AA recovery
Yes, ha ha - have been in the RAC for a while! Was in the AA for God knows how long until they let me down badly late one night after I hit a badger (and wrote off ) my Alfa a few years ago.
"No Sir, we don't attend RTAs"
"But it's not - I hit a badger and now my car won't go"
"We can come out on a non-emergency basis, Sir, it's £110 callout fee, then £££ per mile to the destination, and as it's after midnight [click, bzzzzzt] hello? hello, Sir? Hello, are you there?"
I was just happy it wasn't my other half and I was reasonably close to home!
True, but at least the clatter of bits around you as you grind to an unspectacular halt would be a stylish clatter of bits!Hell you could write off an Alfa hitting a bumble bee.

Was true once but all Alfas have been (nearly) fully gavanised for many years (mines ten years old and they were doing it before then) so no rust!
Well done them it took them long enough to get the message though. Years ago they were class mechancally but the painted bit everything was bolted to just disintigrated.
Some 70's/80's alfas were made with metal that was actually rusting (at a microscopic level) before the sheet metal had been turned into cars so the the completed car had no hope!!!
They must have learned that technique from BMC
