A thought on the yellow paint it maybe an ex Imerys china clay mine wagon from down this way which would explain the rot!

Thanks to redhand for calling in at the weekend to give his considered opinion on the 90. Much appreciated - thanks.

So work continues. Have got most of body work removed. Just tub, seat box and bulk head to go. I will need a new bulkhead so if anyone is selling a cheap but good 'un let me know.

Also, does anyone know where I can get the front dumb iron and crossmember replacement from. I thought someone did this as a one piece replacement part but can't find it anywhere.

More pics to follow at the weekend. As always - tips, tricks and comments gratefully received.

did pikey leave empty handed?:)

Gotta check pockets too ;)

Is he knicking pockets too now!

Only just seen this thread - if you've got the time, space and moolah to do it, do it! I'm getting shot of my 110 because I've got none of the above. It's not (quite) as far gone as yours and I've invested quite a bit in the mechanicals and it was all good fun - but a re-chassis is a step too far.

If you can afford to, re-chassis it. If it's rotting it will be rotting from the inside out and you'll be forever patching holes and worrying about jacking the fecker up. I was going to go for a Richards chassis and fit one of pressbrakes cross members while I was at it.

If I don't sell Scratchy as a project I might have some bits you'll need - including a nice pair of series doors!

Best of luck...

Hi Lyndon

I m in Leeds, but as it goes I work in Bridgend most weeks, so could pop in at some point. Is the bulkhead in good order?

By the way - Pikey did leave with empty pockets, but I think he scared the neighbours :)

ScratyDom - It would be a shame to break up Scratchy, but if you do end up selling it off, let me know - I'd be interested in a few bits and pieces. I think with the state of mine I am going to need quite a few bits.

Still - new toys arrived today. Impact driver - so I can get the hinges off and an impact wrench 'cause every bolt is rusted solid.......

If I canna get him running and can't get decent money for 'im whole he will get broke - I'll ry and remember you but watch the for sale ads. I have got a stock=pile of parts that I'll be listing soon too - bulkhead repair panels, tfer box, 24 spline diff, bearings and UJs. Again watch out in the FS sextion.

An angle grinder wiv a thin blade WILL be your friend!

Alright. Well, what with a combination of working away a lot recently and family stuff to take care, time spend on the 90 has been limited. For those of you that thought I'd thought better of it and sold it for scrap - not a chance.......The strip down continues. The angle grinder and thin blade was a top tip - thanks!

Most of the body panels are OK - seat box needs new sides and tub needs repairing on brackets, but apart from that OK.

Cleaned up, the mechanicals look OK - no signs of any leaks (although that could be cause all the fluids have already drained away).

Chassis is completely shot, so will be saving up for a new one. Same for bulkhead.

Anyhow, here are a few pics by way of an update.
