Today my new springs arrived, looking forward to seeing what difference they make.

I was also expecting the rubber matting to arrive from John Craddock today. I ordered last weekend and called last Monday for an eta and was told they would get a delivery from exmoor yesterday, so to call today for an update. Turns out they didn't recieve yesterday and now need to call next week instead! If it was a £5 part I wouldn't mind that much, but when you spend around £400 I expect a bit better service..

I also decided to fit the replacement brake shoes supplied by rimmer bros yesterday, and these don't fit unfortunately. Took them to the last remaining local independent parts shop and they worked out that the shoes fitted to my late 1986 90 and actually the shoes fitted to series 3 landys front and rear - even though I have front discs! Anyone else had this issue?

No idea, it was on my recon engine which is dated 2006 so I guess mod parts bin was the source!

Did your rubber mats turn up? I'm waiting for a review before I plunge.

Finally arrived today! A lot heavier than I was expecting too. Fitting involved removing the fuse box and cover, also the hand throttle (mines an FFR so has a hand throttle where the choke would be on a petrol version). Bulkhead piece and floor were a good fit, seat box piece was frankly a pig to fit as it comes in one solid piece - you have to cut out a U shape for each of the 3 seat box top panels and retaining clips, plus holes for the seat frame to bolt through. Also had to trim for the gearbox tunnel.

Took about 2 hours to fit in all. Looks smart (will stick some pics on soon) and is definitely quieter. Fitting would be drastically improved if it was pre cut, as unless your battery has been relocated and you have changed how your seat frames attach, everyone will need to cut these and it's very easy to make a very costly mistake!
