As the title says, I registered and started toying with the idea of getting a Rangey back in 2007 but decided to go another route... purchasing in the interim a Lotus V8 Twin turbo, a CL55 AMG Merc, a 1963 Karmann Ghia, a Chopper motorcycle and a 1969 Early VW Bay Camper!!!!!

Anyway, as a self confessed petrol-head I finally scratched my 4x4 itch and this Saturday I am picking up a stunning Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue.

Its a 2004 and its only covered 64k miles and let me tell you... this car is immaculate! It has full Landy Main Dealer Service History too.

Pretty chuffed. It will be replacing my beloved ol' CL55 AMG so I hope it gives me some smiles!

Also I look forward to learning more about them..... inbetween polishing those Kahns that is!!!!

:welcome2::welcome2::welcome2: nice ride but you need to ckeck the front window tints, you may have a problem with the dibble as they look way to dark

Yep they are indeed......have to.... um... drive with the windows down ha ha (I'm used to being tugged with the plate anyhow! lol)

I did have the Merc first....now its time for this!

Actually I have Spinal Stenosis so getting in and out of a low car really hurts me these days (even though I'm only 37) hence the change!

Sold the Split, moved onto a Slammed Patina '63 Karmann Ghia (which managed to win best ghia at Bug Jam which I was chuffed to bits with)

.......but I missed the space of the van and the practicality of it when camping at shows so I am currently working on a 1969 Early Bay Window Camper project, again back to bare metal and some radical mods on it.

Just never seem to get the time anymore to spend on the projects!

I took the Rangey into my workshop at the weekend and did the obligitory 'swirl reduction' and sealed the paint in... looks stunning now, well happy.

Managed to buy some standard wheels yesterday too which I will be putting some snow tyres on so that I can switch to them when the real crappy weather sets in....

Over all really happy with the purchase.

Each to their own, too clean for my liking.
It's made for driving off road & that's not even going near a grass verge!

I like the rangy, but being i work within spitting distance of merc world i love the noise of the AMG's going round the track

I did enjoy my AMG, nothing like them in their field BUT as I have stated.... my Spine wont hold up to getting in and out of it anymore and crouching down polishing it etc without immense pain.....

Mercedes make some real fast classy top end motors. I enjoyed every minute of CL ownership but I am sure I will love the RR equally

low profile tires on a 4x4 **** me off. The only thing worse than that is bonnet bras. Leave the standard wheels on and itll look a million times better.
