im confused ? people keep talling me to avoid my 4.6 as its an overboard 4l
ive read on rave and checked in my book supplyed by car and its the same only a longer stroke is this correct thanks

yes same bore size ,3.9l,4.2l,4l and 4.6l are all the same just stroke alters

reason i ask i was washing mine and a bloke pulled up in a 4l and asked if i new anybody who wanted one i said no he asked whats mine he said i wouldent touch it with a barge pole as its over boared and will blow !
i contratdited him he said i build these engines all the time
thank feck i diddent buy his

ps. this is the one with the sync prob been off road 6 weeks now and mising it saving up for syncmate
got offer to fix via email but wasent cost efective

i think hes mostly likely a knob ,as you say not someone to buy anything from
