Heard a loud clonk as I lowered the suspension to lowest setting to get out of the car . Now I have a sign say ing don't exceed 35MPH. The suspension does not work at all now, it sits on the rubbers. Where do I start to investigate.?

Sounds like one of the end caps sprang loose! What else would go clonk followed by slap on the bump-stops?

Do you have the eas cable and software to reset the eas? if not contact Datatek via the envelope symbol top right of page, and you will need a laptop.

I have tested on Lynx with no faults. Tried to use EASunlock which worked before the clonk, but will only work the tx and not the rx readings.
I am now getting a airbag fault warning on the instrument panel.
I have tested the compressor and that works ok.
And to top it all I have just tripped over the cucking fat and hurt my knee.

SRS fault you mean, nothing to do with suspension. Whilst the compressor maybe working is it producing and usable air, if it is check the diaphragm valve. If air is coming from the silencer port with compressor running that is your problem. Before you do anything else you MUST have good air pressure. Do the thermal switch checks.

Air is coming out of the pipe from the compressor ok. I have tried running the compressor with a door open but it wont run unless I jump the relay switch and when I close the door the level switch on the dash still has all lights on but does not do anything. I have tried the silencer port and nothing is coming out. Checked all the fuses and all are ok. I cant understand why the easunlock program has stopped working at the same time. What is your opinion on changing to metal springs and cure it once and for all. The wife said she cannot put up with me cussing it, so buy the springs. lol

How dare you mention the S word, you had better put your tin hat on and duck for cover.
it will be something silly wrong with it, the system is not complicated and far nicer than going to the S word, have you followed the guide in tech archive.

Do the checks as laid out in my "How to". Compressor will not run if there is a warning on the dash and all the lamps are lit. All faults must be cleared first. For no connection look at fuse 33, 5 amp in engine bay fuse box. Air must be good air, did you check compressor properly did it blow past you finger when over outlet? It does sound like that is your problem, no air.

Well they were right on that one,we can still prove them wrong though.;):D Bet people are wondering what we are talking about,I'm not telling them;):D

I must admit the air does not seem to be as strong as you suggest, I will try a repair kit tomorrow

With unit running and a finger over the compressor outlet it should reach around 175 PSI after a few seconds and force air past your finger. When ignition is switched on you should get all the lights, when car is started ECU does a self check if all is ok at lamp will be solid and going to lamp will flash. You must have a fault or the lamps and message won't go out. But it maybe just a lack of air and the sensors not moving have cause a fault to be recorded. Carry out ALL the checks in the how to. That is what it is there for.

If you had been here the last few days you would have heard a lot worse than the S word:mad:, the neighbours do a small cough to let me know they are the other side of the fence:eek:. but I promise not to mention it again., no S word no more, definitely no S word, if I mention the S word again the drinks are on me, so I wont mention the S word. Bugger I forgot what it was now. Us pensioners have bad memories, what am I doing on here?
