Thread title says it all really. can it be done they look the same pump but are they interchangable?

no,they are same type of pump fitted to numerous engines including vm but are built internally and timed for different engines

Fair enough cheers james the 200 and 300 are so similar i wondered if id be lucky but on this occasion im not

I thought you could swap them but the 300 one put more fuel in so you get a power increase... but then again, I could have just made that up.

same injectors different tips fanatic as a 300 tdi has its combustion chamber in the centre of the piston and a 200 is offset.
