The previous owner of my disco had a "dog" in it but he removed it when i bought it will it pass an mot without it, I've also aquired a squeek so i think there maybe a "mouse" in it somwhere . It's been a long week!!!!!!!

The test station is located on the East side of Southport (out in the sticks), not far from Martin Mere nature reserve.

ive known mates with modded cars with full stainless exhausts front to back without cat they keep original exhaust with cat and refit for mot cause they get a failure for no cat.

Janspeed offer a full S/S direct replacement exhaust system (no cat) (try Roadrunner Motorsport) £351. Should last forever and give better performance. Janspeed also assure that no cat is needed on diesel engines however I'm not getting rid of mine until I'm certain.

Diesels are measured on the amount of smoke emitted from the exhaust and do not require a CAT to be fitted.. Never mind any other ****e.. Rip the cat off, more power!!

Keep the cat pipe to pass the MOT and use a decat pipe and enjoy a bit more ummph and better MPG, also block off the small Diameter pipe from the exhaust manifold that goes to the inlet pipe - this stops exhuast soot blocking up your intercooler and allows your engine to breathe clean air only.

I think the VOSA ruling in the early 1990's only applied to petrol cars as their is no diesel vehicle(uk spec) that has a cat until the latter part of the 1990's
