Slowly giving it a new lease of life

Progress pictures will follow tomorrow, my grandfather bought this discovery new in 1997 and has been neglected since his passing, finally managed to get it bought from my uncle and hoping to get it the way my grandfather wanted it, off road spec

Nice trailer.. I do like a commercial one round the corner from me, but he wont sell it

Im breaking up a D1 atm if your needing any parts off it before I scrap what's left it.

Cheers mate, I’ve got 2 spare d1s so hopefully be okay but I’ll keep you in mind, doesn’t help me being in the Scottish highlands, so getting decent second hand bits is a nightmare as most people won’t ship

Cheers, I actually was going through your thread a page or two every night, it’s keeping me motivated looks to be coming along nicely well done mate, as for the number for the Samaritans that’s on speed dial!

Trying to get as much as I can done this week as I’m away to training next week, along with mates and family taking advantage of me being on holiday ans dropping the sh*t heaps on to sort, I’ve nearly go the drivers side completely welded, just the rear wheel arch inner needs a little stitch and start working my way round it and can’t start getting some progress pictures that look like I’ve not been sitting crying at it for weeks

Gets heavy and you often find it's a lot worse once you cuts into it :(

Always take longer than you want it to, I find it terribly frustrating at times but it'll be worth it in the end ;)

Yeah I’m currently waiting on sliders being made from my local smiddy, whether my idea works or not will be interesting, should look good when they are on and that should give me a motivational boost ;)

After a day of grinders blowing up and running out of sheet metal and having to cut out a section of the floor where the mud flap screws sit, finally the drivers side floor is complete :)
