If you are jumping from another vehicle it's best to jump from a doozil as petrils don't have as much oooph!

guys - just an update to close this one off, tried all checks suggested above but still no luck, did however manage to jump it from the freelander and so went and grabbed a new bat (100 quid lighter!) - all fine now.

Thanks for the help and banter, good bunch of people, tar!

Nice one Ed, glad you got it sorted.

Unsurprised, rehearsed that scenario quite lot. We have 15 batteries on the strength here, so some are always on there way out.

I have various strategies, but in the end you always have to bite the bullet and cough up.

Glad its sorted, though £100 seems a bit steep for a 300Tdi battery - as I said further up, we've had three die this week, so I'll swap your bill for mine, if it helps :D:D:D

Aye, and sometimes the bullet makes me cough a bit ! :) (Bl**dy weather:rolleyes: )

I buy a lot of stuff locally as well. Couple of days is a long time to wait for a battery to be delivered if you have hungry animals bawling at you,

If you're getting good service, that can be worth its weight in gold :)

Yes, and also if you use the local place, it may still be there if you need it in an emergency.
