Hi has any body ever tried putting/redrilling a 2.6 6cylinder petrol flywheel housing on to a 300 tdi engine. Im thinking of converting to a diesel iv had the head on the 6cylinder skimmed fitted new ex valve but the landy is still slow and sluggish due to cost of parts to rebuild a 6 cylinder plus the economy I would prefer a 300 as these more of them around has any one ever done it. I want to move the radiator pannel forward and i want to keep the series gearbox

Don't move the radiator panel you will loose the series look.
Just fit the engine in , I used a 2.5na back plate on my 300 tdi.

Shame that another 6 cylinder is coming off of the road, what are you planning on doing with the engine?

Don't redrill the bellhousing they are like hens teeth, just get a 4 cyl one and swop it, it only takes about an hour once the engine is out
