Probably something I should have noticed before but the model number on the abs modulator is different to the main body. Assume that someone had put a 2004 valve set onto the main pump??

I dont understand what you mean, i dont think that you can make a correlation between those two labels, i doubt that the "04" from the electric pack means it's from 2004 but not sure but if it was chenged it's possibe that this fault occurred before that too and then it's more likely to be a wiring issue

Ok, will stop guessing!

I was (perhaps wrongly) going from pics of units on eBay as the last 2 digits matches the year on the top sticker of the pump - like the attached. And the front of mine seems in far better condition than the back. It had the 3 amigos when I bought it so maybe that was the “fix” they did at the garage before I picked it up

But as you say, far more likely to be wiring

so a slight, post Christmas, update. Driving through the woods today (off-road but on reasonable track) the 3 amigo's decided to not illuminate on starting the engine. They stayed off for about 5 mins and then came back on. Stopped and started about 15 mins later and were off - luckily as I had a bit of an issue with some very muddy sections while moving logs about and the TC worked and was needed! Then came back on and looked at Nanocom - same error but "intermittent 15 times" - cleared that and stayed off on the drive back to the house.

@sierrafery - did you have any clever thoughts from the nanocom data? (and hopefully you had a good Christmas and NY)

MOT is due soon so need to get it in to a garage if not as I've run out of ideas now!

Hi, i dont understand what you mean, dont make me re-read the whole thead again, did you do all the tests suggested ?

sorry, it was in response to your message saying you'd advise further "post Christmas when sober" - pretty sure I have run all the checks I can aside from swapping pins as I'm not confident enough with electrics to do that and I cant find anyone with a hawkeye and cant afford to buy one right now.

Will get it booked in to the garage and see if they can pinpoint it - thanks everyone for suggestions and help so far

Just a final, closing post as the abs issues are finally fixed

SF was correct (as usual!) and it was the connection inside the modulator for the RLOV - modulator changed and all good and working fine now
