another stupid question that i probably know the answer to... if i didnt touch the clearance screws on the rocker shaft and kept it all in one piece is it really necessary to reset the clearances?

guessing the answer is yes but just wondering..

yes most definately ,clearance of valves and pistons is in thousands of an inch ,it is an easy job ,if your unsure ask

ok so iv finished everything (new pushrods and set valve clearances) and it seems to be starting ok however im getting way too much white/blue smoke on acceleration. i had previously tweeked my fuel pump a few months ago and im thinking that could be the problem?

however.. my marks for the original settings on the pump body have faded and i cannot remember how to set it back.

if thats the problem how can i reset the pump?

if not.. any ideas what the problem is

timing still off?? (really hope not)
