Well after helping @killajoules get a few bits ready I had a play in the workshop when I got back

Need to drill the power sockets and figure out what finish to put on it

i did a similar thing with mine, only didn't incorporate the switches, its thin ally plate and i just polished it up and it looks fine

Rangy going well. Currently somewhere in North Derbyshire/South Yorkshire in the Rangy in a B&B. Driven from Hemel to Ledbury for the Nationals then from Ledbury to Rugeley to my Parent's now 100 miles into driving around the Peak District

200 miles around the Peak District with plenty of gear changes and steep hills and I used just under half a tank of Diesel. Don't think that's bad really.
