What mileage interval should the camshaft timing belt be changed? The records I have show a belt change at 70K current mileage is 133K.

I personally do mine every 5 miles to be on the safe side.

Alternatively I know someone who's done a chain conversion, meaning he never needs to worry about the belt snapping or slipping

how long have you had ya disco? if it's not far off (140,000) or you don't know when it was changed, get it done... cheaper than a rebuild!

I would say every 70,000 so do it now... its simple on this engine, I did mine recently.

Every 5 miles? Bit over cautious there me thinks
