Hi guys,
Need some help/advice on my RR L322 2007 TDV8. I took it to a range rover specialist about 10 days ago who I always use, I had the front control arms replaced. Ever since then (not every time it's driven) I get "suspension fault max speed 30" suspension drops on to stops and all led suspension lights disappear. Turn engine off and back on and lights all come back on and all seems ok.

Suspension lifts and lowers all ok not slow or anything. Had a look at compressor and muffler all clean and all looks good, would say compressor was renewed not long before I purchased vehicle (3yrs ago next month). Checked balance on 4x4 info screen all looks ok. Should the suspension need recalibrating after having control arms done? I don't no but if there was a major fault somewhere it would do it every time it's driven? I may be totally wrong there. I'm thinking maybe height sensors? It doesn't drop over night or anything.

Any help would be much appreciated. I'm also going to phone the garage tomorrow and see what they say about it. But I have found this forum very helpful so I thought I would start with you guys.

Cheers

I wonder if garage disturbed a height sensor plug or maybe a bit of **** got in the connection if they had to undo it. Maybe disconnect and spray bit of brake cleaner to clear em out and make sure connections are seated properly. @Saint.V8 @holidaychicken and others are top bollox on these
Cheers for that 1988smithy. I try and keep on top of it. Lol. That's what I was thinking maybe that's a job for tomorrow, be a easy fix if it is. It was just a bit weird how I got the problem after it went to garage and totally fine before. Thanks for your help.

No worries mate, just don't take what I say as gospel, I struggle with the simplicity of a defender :confused::D

@1988smithy I can talk bollox :)
As you say, disconnecting the height sensors can introduce crap potentially and also extending them beyond their normal travel can also cause problems, mine had a very funny turn after being on the MOT ramp with the wheels hanging down which eventually cleared after several goes at plugging it into diagnostics.
it's semi good news that the fault clears itself with a restart but my advice would be to take it back to the garage and get them to check it over and ideally plug it into diagnostics to check for what codes come up and explain it only started happening after the control arms were replaced which shouldn't require calibration.
It has been known for height sensors to be put in back to front with the elbow facing the wrong way after removal but if you dash display is ok then that is unlikely but worth checking

Thank you for that info, I will phone the garage and see what they say as like you said it only started happening since then. They might of had the problem before and can't resolve it fairly easy. Or as you say ir might even clear before hand. Thanks for your help mate
Cheers
