Looking at various 2004, 2005, 2006. Range rovers around the £6/7k mark. This obviously isn't much to spend on a rangie, looking for close to 100,000 miles. What kind of things do you need to look for? Or in reality are there no end of problems?

Get a 2006 facelift with the 3.6 tdv8 engine

That's a good start

Or if your made of money, the supercharged ! :)

If you go for a 2005, make sure it has the upgraded MOSt system satnav with touch screen.

As hippo says, go for a TDV8 as the engine is far superior to the TD6. However, if only low miles per year anticipated, go for a nice 2006 Jag built 4.4 V8 petrol. note, however, only the BMW 4.4 V8 is really suitable for LPG conversion.

Got it in one, hold back £3K for first year repairs.
