Hi Guys, been reading the countless threads on here relating to this problem.

I was driving home, was low on fuel and the engine started to splutter, went to station and put some fuel in and it then wouldn't start.eventually got it started a few moments later and drove absolutely fine all the way home.it now won't start at all,it will try to start and will run for a second or 3,spluttering and then cut out.i have checked the plugs and spark, fuel pressure, all are good, cam sensor is good, there was a code in the ecu relating to cam sensor so replaced as a starting point, still no start.i checked the in pump filter, alot of black nastiness in there, cleaned out to a degree, engine was a bit more lively after but still no start.not really sure where to go with this now,it is coil pack aswell, not dizzy.

Am I missing something stupid? Any help is massively appreciated

All was going well, then when low on fuel it began running roughly. I would suspect the fuel pump and filter. Possibly not enough pressure from the pump. Try replacing that filter with a new one. Potentially it could also be the pump itself.

Ok cheers, can hear the pump priming on ignition on,bridged relay to confirm aswell and fuel at rail also,I thought I might be missing something electrical wise, just as it almost goes but not quite

....if you went with a low level of petrol in the tank could have burned pump ...check the pressure fuel ramp in the priming and starting.... should be 3.6 bar

Ok update, not had a chance to check pressure,I have removd rail and injectors, left connected and fired her up,I know there's health and safety galore but wanted to rule out injector blockage, and strangely enough, she ran? Any ideas?

Plugs fouled, then dried off a bit. Plugs easily fouled/soaked in fuel on the k-series when starting probs of any description.
