p38 4.6 prins sequential system 80 k since i had it converted and I batter down motorways at ton plus and not a problem so far - well nothing to do with the lpg

Strange I have a P38 V8 with an LPG conversion and it works a breeze, really not having any problems. Plus I'm only spending around £40 to fill up :)

I've also managed to cut the parcel shelf quite easily, put the spare wheel on the left up-right (LPG tank now where the spare wheel used to be) and put a new divider in so the parcel shelf can rest on it. All working very well.

never had a problem with any of my p38s on lpg i would personally put it down to how good mechanically it is beforehand, these cars fall into hands of people who just drive them, dont service them, and sadly in some cases cant afford to fix them, so something fails and they dont want to spend they opt for the quick fix which in some cases makes things worse or causes other related problems.if you have a good strong engine with no issues go for it any doubts leave as it is

Have a chat with Dom at Avon Autogas in Bedminster 0800 0717001, Ive just picked up my 4.6 P38 from him and it drives lovely, in fact I drove 130miles straight away without a hitch. Its an OMVL sequential system with a 90l tank in the spare wheel well, hes mounted the filler in the rear bumper and its nice and neat.
Tell him Steve from Riders recommended them.:)

Thanks for that...and all the others for the recommends... currently overseas, will be following up when i get back in Jul. Apologies for not replying sooner, but internet access a touch erratic.

Thanks...I'm lucky enough to have found one that's been cherished and polished pretty much since day one. Full service history and all the MOT certs, low mileage for a 2000 at 73k, absolutely gleaming in and out, walked through its last MOT without even an advisory and a good report from the mechanic who did the 72k service, spare wheel's never been out of its bay. It pretty much looks like its just rolled off the showroom, the only noticeable thing is some wear/discolouration on the beige leather steering wheel, apart from the conversion my job list at the moment is:

Get an extra set of keys - or try the previous owners for the spares.
Get an up to date disc for the SatNav.
Get stereo converted to link to an Ipod

Just hope I'm not tempting fate.....(now touching wood, crossing self etc!!)

if you are looking for more mpg tune the v8 and steer clear of the gas every engine i rebuild has issues from gas sticking rings cracked block as running to lean or too hot from the gas

Ooh. I was thinking of doing that. Any pics?
