I'm thinking about buying one of these, is there anything I should be wary of or look out for especially?

Any idea what the GS entails?

Had the same model for about a month now.
So far everythings pretty good. Its thirsty but iits been converted to LPG so not bad on the gas.
Can't really say much else as i'm a disco newby myself.

That's exactly what i drive and it's great. Not particualry economical but you would have worked that out already, expect anywhere from 16-21mpg. 2000 model means cheaper road tax too. GS means you've likely got aircon, sunroofs and air suspension on the back but no leather seats or premium sound system like an ES. Had mine since Oct 09 and loving it

I have one and love it , check on the aircon as I assumed it had aircon and it doesn't!
sunroofs and windscreens prone to leak.

Check cooling, watch for leaks, check oil for "mayo" colour

Check EAS if fitted

Have a "sniffer" test done before you hand over your hard earned. I didn't and it cost me £3k for a new lump.

having now checked the parkers guide pre aug 2000 aircon was an (expensive) option post aug it was std. so while mine was registered dec2000 it must have been assembled pre Aug:doh: fortunately the windows work
