Did you at least buy the right sort of thermocouple for the gauge?

Cheers
Came as a package. It's either poor connections of its busted. I tried heating it with a blow torch bit still no reading .
To make matters worse I snapped a bolt off in the manifold removing it!!!!

You'll need a bigger garage soon Coffeelandy with all these new tools you keep buying . I brought one of those cheap made in China ones was useless so brought a stack one and that's been spot on , everything you need is in the box .

I got one from Screwfix for 30 quid. Good reviews mostly saying go very slowly and use oil and it works well!

Reet... thought I would give it a try today... my pump looks a bit different to all the pics - it has a black plastic item attached to the top of the pump. But more importantly, I cant seem to remove the old pin and diaphragm. The guide pin seems to be fouling the bottom of the boost pin, such that it doesn't want to release. I don't want to try brute force, so is there a knack to this?
