If (like me) you've never heard of one, please google it. I did not want to provide a direct link as I can only find one supplier and I don't want to appear to be plugging them.

Has anyone installed one of these and do they work? Seems a bit pricey for a spacer but if it makes an appreciable difference, it might be worth it.
I installed a boost pin years ago and tweaked the boost pressure up to 1 bar. That made a real difference to acceleration and pulling power.

There was a recent post on here and going by the replies no one has fitted one yet.
Just tried to search for it but no go, Im sure it had a crap title like has anyone fitted one of these? but no mention of what they were on about in the thread title.

Interesting. My engine pulls strongly and I drive it fairly hard but I do avoid revving high.
If this only benefits the upper rev band, I'm unlikely to benefit from it too much.
I'm running a discovery transfer box so any additional poke is always beneficial but on the other hand, I don't really want to blow my engine up :)

I've been looking at these and wondering if there any good there's also a bloke on facebook doing them with new seals from chester he's advertising fitting centers aswell am I allowed to say his name on here he isn't anything to do with me ? Don't want to get in trouble .
cheers Ian

Ok its Stegs Supplies but he's selling them for 55 quid with genuine bosch seals , my stepson showed it to me there's a few people's reviews on there saying they've improved the performance.

Ive seen a lot of positive things about these boost ring, everyone is raving about them . Im considering one myself

Presumably you inform the insurance company if you install either a boost pin or boost ring?

Of course, or change the intercooler for a bigger one..............tweak the wastegate actuator or a remap on your td5......Decat the exhaust...de-egr....fit different wheels..etc etc etc..

Cheers

I would bet 50p theres isnt an insurance assessor in the land who could tell if a tdi is tweaked in any way shape or form, lets be honest they are as flat as a week old turd on the motorway on a good day.

I'll bet you're always in Ladbrokes, living life on the edge!
Mine's not as flat as it was, but hoping for a bit more improvement. Not expecting fast, obviously :)
