Looks like a lot of people had a lot of fun. Enjoyed your Vid.
Don't know why folk knock the abilities of the P38, had 12 inches of snow last week and mine coped with it no problem.
It went places where the Rice Boilers were all getting stuck.

That's a nice area of France with wonderful scenery in the summer I can only imagine it in the snow, but some of the roadside drops on the back roads could cause a few brown trouser moments in the snow.

Been caught in snow on roads like that on the FJR:eek: Bloody scary when the drop is on my side and there is a truck coming the other way:eek::eek:

I like the RR at 1.44 with the spare wheel on the tailgate. Gives some more storage inside! Where do they all get the underbody protection from?

fantastic, so good to see so many P38's all working at once!!
Is there ever a meet like that in the UK?

A good question. Are P38s very popular in France? Or are you all just committed.

I doubt you could rustle up half that many in the UK. Especially ones with extra driving lights and CB radios!

Some French are very keen on "RAIDS" organised off roading trips.
Very few P38's where I am, but go south to the mountains and there seem to be a few more.
Interestingly the biggest selling LR product in France is the Defender:D

Some lovely photos. Brilliant.

Some nice looking winches there too. On the one hand it'd be nice to have one there, just in case. On the other hand I don't want to look a complete prat!

Those winches are removable in 2 minutes to have a clean and MOT ready look!!

I have to say, those RR Evolution P38's look much much nicer than a standard road going one. I must save up for some kit :)

Does it require a special bumper? Second battery? Bigger alternator? Where from? What price?!!!

:):):)
No it requires a special front hitch receiver. Sort of tow crossmember for the front.

I have one in my shop. 219 euros

No bigger alternator or second battery at all...

Saw one down the road from me today so they must be available in the UK somewhere ... or someone is very keen!

So, original bumper off then front hitch receiver on. Then bolt the winch to that. So, all told you're probably looking at 4/5 hundred euros?

Something to save up for Christmas!
