hi all
my discovery has a 2" lift on it and iv had to put two rubber donuts on the prop , is this because off the lift ???

OK thanks
i have been told to put a front 4 bolt diff and prop on and this will stop this ,
iv looked in to this and it would cost £70 for the bits , is this a good mod or not

better to remove the lift - not necessary anyway.

Fair enough. Even with the standard springs the 4 bolt prop and flange is a good upgrade. Them donuts are a PITA

They'll be absolutely fine with std springs. It'll drive better too and you'll get less vibration.

The prop & flange from a 200Tdi disco will fit, even with the lift. you need to search on here to find out how to remove the flange from your diff, it can be a bit of a sod.
Get rid of the doughnut whichever way you go.

I agree with trewey, any time I have been out my axles and steering were the things that grounded, in actual fact I knocked the damper off twice, raising it makes it more unstable anorl.

generally the 2" lift will be inorder to fit bigger tyres which then lift the axel higher from the ground. so if you run standard tyres, i agree the lift is pretty pointless. i will hopefully be lifting mine soon inorder to fit much larger tyres on since it will be used offroad a lot. so it has its place i think.
