Is it worth keeping a 2.5td gearbox and 1.4 transfer box folks or shall I weigh them in. Just came out of a low mileage 1990 90 with a blown turbo engine, wondering if there is a demand or is it worth it?

might be of use to someone , its just a matter of ..... are they worth saving till some one asks for them , ? ebay ?
 
Id Ebay them tbh , or you might end up with a garage like mine lol ,

I wish :D How come LR rolled out so many different coloured oil filler caps? Mine's yellow, I can see a green one on one of your engines and a golden green cap on the other! Bizarre.
 
I've just weighed in three disco gearboxes and the remains of four axles. The old "it'll come in handy one day" had worn a bit thin.
 
everythin i keep that will come in handy one day ,..... when it does , i just go an buy a new one ? why do i bother , if yer dunt use it with in 12 months , weigh it in , thats how im goin to work this year ,

I usually keep things I cant throw away and then when someone asks have I got one I'll say yes mate, here you are, and give it away.
Might as well bin it and make some space:rolleyes:

You best get a crack on with that series then or the scrap mans gonna get a shiny set of axles and engine:D:D:D

:) nope, il be round yours in the summer in it ! finished, ;) ok perhaps not painted and all that but mechanicaly sound never the less :p
 
I put my last transfer box in the bottom of the wheely bin, which then got hooked onto the back of the trash cart, and by the time the bin men realised what the very loud bang was it was over the top and too late :)

Somebody else down the road put a VW Beatle engine into his, and that went as well

This was soon after the council forced us to switch to wheely bins the the village was tring to take the **** back :)
 
if all of you lot have all them spares surley one of you will have an altenator for mi 200 tdi that i can buy off yas ?

id rather buy of a trust worthy member then a skank on fleabay
