Cardboard is handy for taking viscous off mainly
Very hard to get wrench In there without damage if they are stiff.

Just take your time with the cowl they can be brittle
I have corrugated roofing plastic sheets. I use those.

I try leaving the fan on.
I have no tools to take it off and I guarantee if I take it off more work appears .
I have 3 cm space when moving the plastic cowl back. That should be enough sliding the rad out and the new one in.

Touch wood, I have no overheating problems yet. But at some point I do want to check the water pump, I really don't want mine to do a RRDT and esplode into the rad.

The new nissens rad. Was Xmas and I though bugger it will do one more trip. That night I learned what limp mode is when cooked, worse than unplugging MAP
No head gone!
10 mile walk home Xmas eve with glare in my eyes

Original pumps tend to go bang 130,000 miles somewhere around that mark. I was about 138 iirc

Sell enough on the bay they will come up in their ads lol.
If that rear button spring guy sees it they’ll be going for £17 a pop & Utube vid showing you to get the marble in the hole

lol. i dont drink beer btw.

got the new rad delivered the next 2 hours.
a bloody mortgage but is the one i have in.
well if it t is the one it should have for a start.

is not even bolted on the bottom.just slided in the grooves and left there.

we checked with a endoscope and camera thingy. there is a kind of baffle in it. - the new one.
sorry lack of marbles and the supplier guaranteed it is a baffle in it and it is the right one with 3 years warranty on it.

now i try the - 1000s time to download rave. dosnt work for me.
i cant even find it on the forum. sorry i may just not look in the right place.

i watched some videos about changing the rad so i just go ahead later when it arrives and take the old one out and out then the new one the same way in in reverse order.

( without removing the viscous. - for 2 reasons. i dont have the tool for it and knowing me - i more likely damage anything which i just need to fork out and replace as struggling a bit and get it done. )
