Hi all hope everyone is well, I have been busy converting my knackered old ex mod 90 to a 3.9 v8 efi.

Once I've worked it out I will post some pics of when I started to where I am now and the problems I've come across and still have now.

Hope you enjoy the read and has some use to someone.

Josh

Yes I have also put in a 90 v8 gearbox as 4 pot diesel is way different. V8 bolted straight in and just moved engine mounts.

I'm going to upload each photo as a timeline but have a couple of questions on wires thatbim stuck on

it also sits further forward and requires alteration to seat box and floor plates, tunnel etc if put as lr did

Is the white plug the one with the 4 cables needed to run the the only confusing part I have is does the ignition one need to be hen ou turn the ignition on or when the key is in the turning over position?

What does this black round plug do? It runs in the same part of the loom as the cables going to coil.

Your help is greatly appreciated

Ok great I will bear that in mind did you have any issues with propshafts?

front prop is the standard 90 diesel on but the rear one is unknown , called into local indy guy who had a stack of take offs and found one which was the correct length as the original one was 60mm short , my gearbox is on standard mounts and i fabricated new engine mounts as was told the gearbox mount is the fixed position on all 90s etc and work from there

also the black plug i think is for an early type of diagnostic kit to check amplifier
well thats what ratty told me when i got mine wet on salisbury plains trip and it cut the ignition and engine wont fire , waterproofed it an all well now

theres 2 ways to fit v8 and gear box one where you just replace gearbox and leave transmission where it is so props etc is as before or as lr did and move it forward which requires new props and floor plates altering etc ,to run white plug needs battery feed brown wire ,ignition feed white wire and high pressure efi pump feed white and purple

Guys does range rover efi in tank fuel pump fit the tank in my 90?

I'm after a bolt straight in job I've got a facet pump but think it won't be any good for efi after what I've read any ideas?

Ok cool my logic is to get a factory all in one efi unit and just fit to 90 that way save the need for a separate pump etc. I've got some more pics to upload of other plugs that are left which I need some help on I'll post them tommorow thanks dude

Ive got some more pics to upload in order to confirm a few things as per previous posts.

This is the Facet pump i have but dont think its going to give me the pressure i need for the EFI

What do these 2 wires and this pulg do? I cant trace them to anything engine wise so am hoping that i can just cap off and isolate and its another thing sensor related etc.

Finally i know the green relay is A/C related but just want to confirm the other 2 and when they should be clicking?
