Hi, where do I start with this on please. Intermittent power loss (maybe a second or so) when driving - appears worse at higher revs. Feels like complete fuel starvation. Also, during idle, it can happen and engine will be cut. I have blown through fuel line from lift pump to tank.
No difference if tank is full or low. Marginally worse when cold.

Whats your oppionion on the following:
Drain tank, remove sender and check for debris in pipes/filter
Replace fuel filter
Routinely replacing the lift pump although can feel pressure when manually pumping it.
Get injectors refurbished (I've heard they can leak so reducing pressure to the others?)
Dont know much about diesel Pumps - are there any checks I can do before taking it to a specialist?

Fuel stop solenoid or dodgy connection to it?

thanks, I gave the connector a tighten/clean. Can these solenoids fail inside?

Yes they can check to see if there is fuel leak from it. New one is (landrover)expensive patent ones not so good.Get a second hand one from a scrap yard.

It does sound like a fuel blockage somewhere, but it might be an idea to check the air flow through the engine also. Something like a knackered back box could also intermittently starve power. If the baffles are rusted through and fall apart inside it could intermittently block the exhaust causing a similar effect.

But if I had to guess id say there's crap in the fuel line somewhere.

Aye, they can get gummed up, become worn, stuck by a wee bit of dirt, leak. My old one was a wee bit worn on the plunger and there was possibly something else wrong with it (it's been a while). Ye can probably just see the wear in these photies.....

and this is what it's like inside...

I'm needing to replace mine again as the plastic piece on top where the connector is is turning a wee bit.....

Ah've sometimes got to give it a wee wiggle to start the bus.
Ah've got a new Bearmuck one (£16 ) to stick in....

when ah can be bothered!

I know this is a bit old but thought i'd post my findings. It ended up being the fuel filter (which was only a few months old)
The filter was very badly clogged and this was traced back to the fuel tank having an inch of mudd at the bottom - caused by a massive hole in the rusted fuel filler neck.
