Already smoking and burning oil....
Between devil and sea here, have a spare lump, that is unknown in its condition, looks sound, but dont want the aggro of fitting it to find that its shagged.....
Sooooo, was toying with the idea of spending some wonga, on a rebore, oversize pistons and rings, plus a head skim and rebuild......
Need the power as may have gone slightly overboard in fitting the 235/85 x 16's, plenty of grunt with 600x16's, but now struggles on slopes....

Not so much a victim, just a realisation that the engine is really getting to a point that it is shagged.....
Smoking heavily when cold, not so bad when warm.....
Reckon that a compression test will show a pretty poor compression in most cylinders.... Re con the engine and all will be well.
