My diesel runs close to the red on the temperature gauge. I've put a new thermostat in, flushed the radiator, new sender and still the gauge is in the red.

I had the bright idea (doh!) of measuring the temperature of the coolant at the top of the rad and found it to be 75 ish degrees.

Seems all good, but why's the gauge reading high.

Thanks Jamesmartin.

How do I check the stabiliser?

Do you have a part number, may as well change it if it is cheap enough.

has it got 10v on output side to guages ,12v on other + wires when running, cheap parts like new senders can be unfit for use
