It drove me round all friday and saturday, got me to uni saturday nite, then decided to do a big oily poo on the drive and break down again. :'(

Am now trying to trace an air leak in the fuel line, changed the filter and all the seals, bled it from every point possible but it still sucking air in somewhere.

Does diesel by any chance errode araldite ?

Another lift pump later and the air leaks gone.

Now I think I need a new battery as it has been flattened so many times over the past 4 weeks of fixing the bloody truk. Ive checked all the earths many many many times so its not draining anywhere.

Taken all the glowplugs out, they all work.

I tested them by connecting 1 to the ignition at a time an seeing if they were glowing after a few seconds on the key, so the ignition wiring to the glow plugs is fine.


Have you the early glowplugs (with the curly element needing up to 7V) or the later straight type(needing 12v) if these are wired as the early type they wont work as well
