That is certainly a reported factor on the use of LPG on these engines...but the original query was the Engine ECU would throw a wobbler if converted...which it won't...its just the likelihood of a slipped liner or cracked block is increased is all!There is some evidence that the higher combustion chamber temperatures generated by LPG can accentuate cylinder liner slippage (caused by the block cracking) that these later RV8's are prone to. There are some that will disagree, but when you've personally experienced the cost of a replacement engine caused by this disaster & seen any savings from running on gas wiped out, to say nothing of the original conversion cost ....
