Due to circumstances beyond my control I'm having to sell my landy, but I'm not sure what its worth...
**** SOLD ****
1987 300TDI, 7 seat.
Main good points
Last year I completely stripped and rebuilt it from the floor up. Main objective was to make it as good as I could underneath, while keeping it as it was on top - Nice and strong but looking pretty standard for its age.
Galvanised Chassis - Richards. Painted black.
Galvanised Bulkhead - Shielder.
Galzanised front bumper - painted black
New Shocks, springs, all polybushes.
New brake pipes, brake hoses.
Input diff seals, front and rear.
Rear Shoes
Handbrake shoes
New Tyres (5) Falken Wildpeak.
New sills
All new steering damper, track rod joints,, various other ball joints.
New water pump
New Radiator
All new water hoses.
New Cylinder head.
New vent flap seals
New Main bearings, big end shells, piston rings, front rear crank seals, timing chain and various other seals.
Balanced crank, rods, flywheel and pistons (std).
New clutch plate and bearings.
New Battery.
Lots of other new bits, nuts, bolts, mats, bulbs, seals in body parts etc etc. Major bits underneath were blasted and painted.
New fuel tank (3 years ago?)
MOT expires 2/1/24
Bad points
Engine block is probably cracked - if I could link to the thread about it you'll see the details - hence why lots of work has been done on the engine/cooling system.
Front brake calipers partly seized (its mainly been standing for the best part of a year)
edit - No longer a Cat C. Insurance database error!
For some reason its a Cat C - I wasnt aware when I bought it 8 years ago - still checking on this though.
Conclusion
Solid, sorted Land rover 90, that needs a new engine, and brakes fixing. Not shiney and perfect outside. Might be good for Electrification (I have a couple of Electric conversion people aware of it, in case they have clients looking)
When I can sort out how to do it, I'll stick up some pictures.
Any clues as to value? Replacement motor (S/H) seem to be about £500-£1000 - recons are £3500 ish?
Make me an offer. Vehicle is in East Dorset
£11,000 Seems fair
