@Wolf Pack , for your new earth wiring points the trick is to take headlight, sidelight and front & side indicators earth wires back to one individual connection for each corner. This way should one earth fail you only loose one corner light set - this immediately shows you where the earthing fault lies. As above, run new black earth cable to an earthing point that's visible/easily accessible ;)
 
Take front earths to either chassis or upper lip edge of wings, rear earths to body inside rear light boxes

eta I took mine to upper lip edge to ensure max wiring out of water/road spray/wet - here, Land Rover really cocked up for so many years by having a brilliant vehicle but with far too much wiring/many electrical connections in line of water...

I completely agree, but the MOD did get the Water option on some trucks at a horrendous price.
 
Update:

I'm waiting for a steering wheel after having to drill the old one off and also some of those spade connectors with the tab in the back.
