Hey guys

Going to look at this tomorrow morn
http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/191777988345

What are initial thoughts?
Does price seem fair?
Anything beyond usual to look out for?
Will be used for holidays towing caravan and my short daily commute.

Is it likely to have PAS?

Can't decide whether to wait for a 300tdi instead as 200tdi becoming scarce.

Any input in any form is appreciated as I can't decide whether to go for it and sacrifice my current mg ztt cdti auto

I am currently rebuilding a 110 with a discovery 200 in it. As far as I'm aware, you can't not have PAS, because of the route the aux belt takes but Im prepared to be corrected. It certainly looks tidy, but will need viewing to see how much of the bulkhead is made of steel and how much is made of cereal box, and also inspect the chassis for rust too.

Our Ninety TC has a Disco 200Tdi fitted and has PAS fitted....can be done.

Most of the time if it is a Disco engine conversion...I would say they have transferred over the PAS also.....contact the advertiser and find out!

Looking at the size of the steering wheel, I'd say it does!

nowt wrong with the 200Tdi....some say it is better than the 300Tdi...parts still available (heads are a little rarer now mind) but still a viable engine if you ask me!

Looks very straight, and the buyer sounds straight too. If it's as good as he says, the price seems good too. If you haven't used a 110 for daily use before, it will seem like a bit of a barge compared to a car - they take a bit of room to park, and don't fit into some multi storey car parks. Having said that, there are acres of room inside.

They can quite easily. i work on one that has it quite regular.

Please re-read 'can't NOT have pas' as in you have to have it. You have no choice, because you cannot run the alternator without there being a PAS pump. I'll just keep my big gob shut.

i just need to open my eyes :D im going mad what with checking drawings my matrix foo is fading for the day.

Thanks for input so far.

Hopefully it will be solid, he seems an honest enough chap so don't see why not.

He is in a rush to sell as working away for 3 months after this week so is prepared to let me have it for £4K tomorrow.

Feel like I should snap his hand off in a way

I have had 300tdi disco
And 2.8 tdi frontera with the old izuzu in so used to agricultural

Besides the ztt is longer than both of the above so used to a barge

Think it's because I'm towing my twin axle through France this year so little concerned about changing cars for the tow

Yeah just seen that which concerned me a little.
I suppose though that may have been bad luck and I take eBay feedback with a pinch of salt as its only allowed one way.

I will go see it in morn but if body is straight and rot is minimal it's prob worth the money. Don't think you can get 110's for under £4K in any condition

You can remove it - I did. Basically you end up with the alternator much higher up attached off where the PAS pump used to fit.
