Hi just wondering has anyone ever done or seen 100 inch hybrid using a series front iv only seen them with defender fronts i have 300 tdi manual disco rotten shell and decent 109 body i like bit of feedback please before i start the project cheers

Yes it has been done. Saw it in classic Land Rover magazine. So it is possible. However I personally don't think it looks right as the wheels over hang the arches. And series with defender wheel arches looks wrong.

You may run into issues at the MOT test with an early series 2 front end as the headlights will be too close together for the later registration of the donor chassis. A 2a or series 3 with the headlights in the wings wouldn't be an issue. You'd need to fit defender wheel arches to accommodate the wider axles. The series tub can be cut and shortened to fit.
