Hi all ive done 312 mile and its on the last white knotch on the fuel gauge, i think thats fab my freelander is a 1.8 2001my. At the moment she is running like a dream has any one else had this sort of mileage out of there 1.8 freelander?

35 on recent motorway run to Cardiff, which i was pleased with. I dont tend to go over 80 on the speedo, which is more like 70.

Mine probably runs on about the 200 mile mark for just going to work and stuffs. For motorway driving etc i think it's around 275 but would have to test it really.

331 miles on a fill up on short runs equated to 26.5 mpg last night, certainly makes my freely 2 td4 auto look good, on long journeys have achieved 412 miles per tankful.

How much petrol does a 1.8 hold from full to start of reserve - I may have over cooked my figure??

Its going back a few years now but my 1.8 3 door would only do around 27mpg - always quite heavy on fuel - it was replaced by a Disco TD5 which was more economical!

I have done over 400 miles on a tank (just).

Last week I covered 377.7 miles on a full tank. I used 56.7 litres to refill (brim) the tank, so this equates to 30.2MPG.

I have fitted a low fuel light and so I wait for it to light and then cover another 20 miles or so befre refuelling.

They say 59 litres usable fuel.....

Without the prop on I get about 34mpg, with prop I average about 30mpg.

By the way I'm trying to sell mine

27-30 is about right mine's runing on LPG most of the time ,only costs 47p ltr

With you all the way plus the auto box on the Td4 is brilliant, so long as you ignore the crappy manual gear select function. Used in drive mode it's a smooth economical performer.
