Guys. I'm going to look at a D3 tomorrow and could do with a quick D3 buyers check guide. It's a 2.7 TDV6, 55k miles fsh. In X S trim. Ive found the pit fall about the belts need doing at 7 years 5 k miles. Been told taking the engine out is now not needed but do you still need loads os specific tools? Cars been a non tow car and I need to fit a bar. Are the electrics plug and play or do I need to get them coded to ecu. Any other specific D3 issues I should check?

Cheers all.

I just got mine two weeks ago had the belts changed just for peace of mind . other things to check are suspension bush`s front and back they are bad for them hub bearing as well check that the fuel gauge and range works as if it needs sender units that is a real pain to change the biggest thing is DONT BUY A MANUAL

Allow for the cost of turbo failures and of course the wonderful electric handbrake. Body off I think for turbo's and other things.

Don't buy a manual coz clutches are to small for the job they go bang big time regular as clock work On D3 always go for an auto you wont regret it
