dear all i have a td4 auto freelander with 100000 on the clock it was a but of supension noise so i rebushed the radius arms fitted new bottom ball joints new track rod ends new anti role bar links & bushes upgraded discs & pads . so i thought i would fit new wheel bearings as well when it all got put back the brakes ars soft so bleed front when i took it out the ABS lights all came on . so i thought that i may have damaged a sensor so i fitted two new (expensive) but lights are still on bleed brakes again but still no joy . i am now getting a bit sick of freelenders can any body help

I believe but someone will confirm - as ABS is a safety system then once the light is activated it needs to be reset by either Landrover using Testbook diagnostic or perhaps a Hawkeye can do it. The same applies with the SRS light - mine was on but there was nothing faulty ( a plug had been disturbed when the ignition was on so it lit up) to put it out the fault has to be cleared and then checked by the diagnostic if no fault is then found the light goes out.

Hope this helps. Find a friendly Hawkeye owner!

dear all found the fault i think the front bearings are in the wrong way round or are faulty
, i spoke to a bearing rep who lone me a card that showed the magnetic field on the bearing but no found where sensor is so i will fit new bearings again thanks for your hepl
