OK here is what is happening with mine -

I cannot use the radio to set the date or time or reset trip meter or fuel consumption or anything. It just will not interact with the instrument cluster. I have tried resetting (option 21) and battery resets also. So the clock stays at --:-- and the date stays at --/--/2008.

I know the analog clock is set with the digital clock. The analog clock starts to work, funnily enough, like a clock. But turn the radio on and I can watch the dials move back like I was in a time machine. Keep the radio/CD on for 10 minutes and the analog clock indeed reads 12:10 (in analog ). Turn the radio off and its a time machine all over again.

My questions -

Any Ideas?
Where is the ECU that controls the interaction of the radio panel and the instrument panel?

Thanks

Check the fuse in the glovebox mate.

Mine was doing the same thing when I bought it, I had a look at the fuses and one was in the wrong location for the radio etc for some reason, I think there are two fuses for the radio and the one that was in the wrong location was bottom right of the fuse box. If yours was working before it'll probably just have blown.

CHeers Mike. Will check the fuses.

I should have mentioned that it is an HSE with the std radio and that you cannot press the "i" button on it to 'link' the radio console and instrument cluster.

OK fuses seem fine. 5 and 49 seem to control radio. They are all in the correct spots.

If the ignition is off and the radio is turned on, the analog clock does NOT go back to 12:00. Only when the ignition is turned on does it wind back.

I want to clean the contacts on the controlling ECU but need to find it first....

:welcome2:Download RAVE the LR workshop manual from the How To section, if it's the right version it will have the L322 and include the owners manual.

Setting of the clock is achieved via the Setup/Config menu on the SatNav Main Menu screen....

Press menu, select Setup scroll to the Clock, press the button, select Set, press button, follow instructions!

This will set the time and date....the analogue clock will then spin round to the correct time!

Assuming you can see the "telephone" option on your display. The telephone module is in the left hand rear quarter with all the other electronics.
Only the handset and SIM card are in the centre console. Sounds like you are missing the handset.
You can't pair it with an iPhone without buying and installing some extra kit.
